Amy Walton

Controller - Accounting and Finance

Amy was born and raised a Marine Corps brat turned Army wife before settling in Colorado in 2010. She lived in various communities throughout her life. As a young Army wife and mother, she relied heavily on social safety nets in many of the communities she became a part of to secure housing and food. Two weeks after the birth of her third daughter, she decided it was time to start working towards her bachelor’s in accounting, which has led her to serve as the Controller for Colorado Village Collaborative. With 17 years of accounting experience, 12 of which are in nonprofit, Amy is a natural problem solver and a data artist. She has a passion for serving people and communities, and believes in the importance of building safety nets. When she's not working, you can find her surrounded by her husband, three daughters, and bonus daughter, along with three dogs, two cats, and a leopard gecko (and sometimes fish). She enjoys spending her free time outdoors, grounding herself in nature.
